Primary Healthcare Clinic

CHAPS set up a primary health clinic in Orange Farm

The Centre for HIV and AIDS Prevention Studies (CHAPS)

Is a dynamic public benefit South-African based organisation, offering a diverse range of services in healthcare and skills development. Founded in May 2010 by Drs Dirk Taljaard and Dino Rech, CHAPS reputation is built on its successful implementation and dissemination of sustainable evidence-based healthcare solutions in South Africa and abroad, particularly in medical male circumcision (MMC) as an important contributor to HIV prevention.

CHAPS has grown exponentially over the last 6 years, expanding its services from MMC-related research, service delivery and training to primary healthcare and consulting (start-ups, financial systems, M&E), while venturing into new training areas. Grounded in innovation, CHAPS continually seeks to adapt its services and approach to serve the needs of the communities in which it operates. At the end of 2014, CHAPS expanded into Swaziland as the key advisory and implementing partner of the Ministry of Health. Click here for more information on CHAPS Swaziland.
